TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services at its June 24 meeting elected Dennis Butts, of Greenville, as chairman and Rod Austin, of Sidney, as vice chairman.

Austin will also chair the Finance Committee, replacing Butts.

Executive Director Mark McDaniel presented a commemorative gavel to outgoing board chairman Jason Wagner, of Versailles.

Two former board members are rejoining the roard. Robert Menz, of Sidney, has been appointed by Shelby County Commissioners to a four-year term effective June 2. Menz previously served on the board from June 2008 to March 2014. Katharine Ketron, of Troy, has been appointed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, effective July 1. Ketron previously served from June 2007 through June 2014.

The board’s membership currently stands at 15 of the 18 maximum allowable under Ohio law.

Darke County members are Butts, Wagner, Terrence Holman and Mandy Martin. Miami County members are Ketron, Tom DeVault, Jerry Herbe, George Lovett, Roger Welklin and Marcia Youtz Henning. Shelby County members are Austin, Menz, Velina Bogart, Vicki Hornbeck, and Marianne Helmlinger.
