Six file election petitions

SIDNEY — Six candidates have filed petitions for the November General Election with the Shelby County Board of Elections.

Susan E. Sekas, 844 Foraker, has filed to run as fiscal officer for Clinton Township. Sally N. Keener, 6153 Jackson Road, will be seeking the fiscal officer seat for Perry Township.

Karen Pleiman, 8347 State Route 705, has filed to run for fiscal officer for Turtle Creek Township. She is currently the fiscal officer for the township.

Three incumbents on the Jackson Center Schools Board of Education have filed for re-election. Filing petitions were Kristen S. Davis, 22 Hudson Drive, Jackson Center, Matthew S. Kohler, 204 N. Fork St., Jackson Center, and Brad Wren, 18 Waterford Court, Jackson Center.

Aug. 5 is the deadline for petitions of candidates in nonpartisan races to be filed with the Shelby County Road of Elections. Write in candidates must file declarations of intent by Aug 24.
