Commissioners authorize advertising for bids

SIDNEY – The Shelby County commissioners authorized advertising for bids for the jail intake area addition project among other actions during the first part of September.

Bids for the jail intake area addition project, which the commissioners authorized on Sept. 3, will will opened at 2 p.m. Oct. 1. They also released permissive license fees of $561.70 to Village of Kettlersville on Sept. 3.

On Sept. 5 the commissioners approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $321,553.96 and approved final payment for the Fair Haven site development project. The total site development project cost was $340,972.

On Sept. 10 they released $104,099.63 in permissive license fees to City of Sidney, re-appointed John Turner, William Ross, James Koppin, Mark Deam, and Rich Wallace to the Monumental Building Board of Trustees, and re-appointed Andrew Counts and Bonnie Paulus to the Public Defender Commission.

The commissioners approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $717,682.85 on Sept. 12.
