SIDNEY — Members of Lori Stalling’s watercolor class are the featured artists in the art gallery at Amos Memorial Public Library during October.

Students with artwork in the exhibit are Shelia Archer, Sandy Wolfe, Catherine Toal, Kelly Pugh, Sally Driver, Phil Valentine, Debbie Carey, Janice Hoying, Stephanie Shoe and Mary Smith. This is the first watercolor experience for most of these individuals.

“We meet every Tuesday for two hours. It is exciting to see the progress made by each artist. As expected each one has their own style and unique use of color. Color theory is taught as the basis of a good painting. Skill comes with practice. Not only is our class a place for learning, but also a place to make new friends and connections while focusing on a project that brings relaxation and happiness,” said Stallings.

The exhibit may be seen during regular library hours which are: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays. The Amos Library is located at 230 E. North St. in Sidney and is a part of Shelby County Libraries that has locations in Anna, Botkins, Fort Loramie, Jackson Center and Russia.
