SIDNEY — Sidney American Legion Auxiliary Unit 217 will be hosting its annual card party on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Sidney Veterans Center, 1265 N. Fourth Ave.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., games will start at 1 p.m. and will run until 4 p.m. There will be drawings for door prizes throughout the afternoon. The event is open to the public, and participants may bring their own table or join someone else’s.

There is a $5 entry fee, which includes food provided by the ladies of the auxiliary.

The money raised from this event allows the auxiliary to give $500 grants to second-year college students. This year four grants were awarded to Caroline Nuss, Kyle Rees, Alyxis Carpenter and Colton Rose.
