LIMA — The Ohio State Lima Circle K club will host a “For The Kids: Fall Rally Cancer Walk” from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sun., Oct. 20, 2019 at The Ohio State University at Lima on the Quad.

This walk brings awareness and support to Buckeyethon, an annual philanthropic event put on by The Ohio State University to raise money to put a stop to childhood illnesses and childhood cancer.

Although this walk is geared to raise awareness to childhood cancer, we will also be honoring adults in the community who have fought cancer during our opening and closing ceremonies. There will activities such as karaoke, Just Dance, a track to walk around during the six hour event, themed laps, photo opp booths, a friendship bracelet station, a “Forget Me Knot” ribbon station dedicated to those who have lost the fight to cancer and much more.

Send registration to [email protected]. Cost for single registration is $5 and cost for team registration is $20 for no more than 20 people per team. Onsite registration is also available. Donations and registration payment can be sent to paypal.me/fallrally or can be paid at the door.

Ohio State Lima had 26 students registered to attend a 12 hour dance marathon for BuckeyeThon in Columbus in February 2019. Ohio State Lima will send a team again in 2020 with 61 students. The dance marathon consists of fun activities such as Gaga Ball, glow in the dark putt-putt golf, Zumba, a silent disco, and a rave hour to celebrate the life of the miracle children. Some of the miracle families that the students are raising money for also attend the dance marathon.
