WAPAKONETA — Nationally known artist Dan Knepper will have a solo show of his work at the Riverside Art Gallery, Wapakoneta.

Knepper’s work has won or been a runner-up in many national and international competitions. It has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, Southwest Art magazine, The Artist’s Magazine, Watercolor Artist, Outdoor Painter, etc. He is represented by top galleries literally coast to coast with Carteret Contemporary in Morehead City, North Carolina, on the east to Howard/Mandville near Seattle on the west, as well as Going to the Sun Gallery, Whitefish, Montana, Mary Williams Fine Art, Boulder, Colorado, The Hayley Gallery, New Albany, Ohio, and Art at the Mill in Millwood, Virginia.

A former Jackson Center and Botkins art teacher, Knepper left teaching six years ago to become a full-time artist. His landscapes in oil have risen to the high four figures and Knepper anticipates they’ll top $10,000 per painting in 2020.

“I think most people will be surprised at the quality of the work… and maybe the quantity. I often paint seven days a week.” Knepper said, ” I think original art isn’t something the people of western Ohio spend much time thinking about. .. but once they get a taste, they’re hooked. I hope friends old and new will stop into the show’s opening and say hello.”

Knepper’s work will be at the Riverside Art Center, 3 W. Auglaize St., Wapakoneta from the Oct. 18 opening, (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) through Nov 9. You can also see his work at www.DanKnepperArt.com.
