SIDNEY — Raise the Roof for the Arts invites the public out to The Historic Sidney Theatre for their midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11:59 p.m.

In the cult classic film, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”

This show will feature a live Rocky Horror Shadow Cast. Audience members are encouraged to dress up for the night. This event is interactive, as there will be dancing, movie callouts, and props being used by the cast and audience.

Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the concession stand. This event is strictly for ages 18-plus, because of explicit language and behavior. Attendees are invited to come dressed up as their favorite character and enter into a costume contest.

Doors open around 11:30 p.m., and the movie starts at midnight.

Tickets are $10 each, and includes admission and a prop bag. Those interested in attending can purchase tickets by visiting www.Sidneytheatre.org.
