Sidney City Schools Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Schools Board of Education will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. at the board office.

The board is expected to take the first step in placing an emergency tax levy on the March 17 ballot. The levy would be for 10- years and is being placed on the ballot to avoid an operating deficit.

Other items on the agenda include approving the construction of an access road between Russell Road at the Sidney Alternative School building entrance to Northwood to help alleviate traffic congestion at a cost of $41,045. Personnel items are also on the agenda.

Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY —The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) will meet on Monday, Oct. 21, at 4 p.m. in council chambers.

Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room.

Items on the agenda include reports from the board president, board member and superintendent; action on the tuition reimbursements for staff members; accepting donations; and employment of staff.

Jackson Center Board of Education

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Local School District Board of Education will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m.

The board will consider requests from the Student Council, to accept a donation of a 1995 Ford F250 from Kim and Bruce Metz, a FFA field trip to the National FFA Convention from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, early graduation for Christina Michael and updates on the board policy manual. An executive session will be held to discuss the employment of public employees.

Minster Local School Board of Education

MINSTER — The Minister Local School District Board of Education will meet Monday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. in the elementary school large group meeting room.

Items on the agenda include reports from the superintendent, principals, booster organizations and curriculum and instruction. The board is also expected to approve the amended Tri Star agreement and personnel recommendations.

Shelby County Board of Elections

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Board of Elections will hold a special meeting Thursday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. to review the preliminary budget which was submitted to the Shelby County Commissioners. No action will be taken.
