Commissioners approve land annexation

SIDNEY – The Shelby County commissioners approved annexation of land to the Village of Botkins and entered into a right of way agreement with the City of Sidney during recent meetings.

On Sept. 17 the commissioners approved the annexation of 63.558 acres to the Village of Botkins as petitioned by Weigandt Land Co. Ltd.

The commissioners approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $1,375,93.18 on Sept. 19.

On Sept. 24 they transferred $157,623.77 in sales tax revenue from the General Fund to the Engineer’s Fund. They also transferred $157,623.78 in sales tax revenue from the General Fund to the Capital Improvement Fund.

The commissioners approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $380,023.46 on Sept. 26, approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $689,156.50 on Oct. 2, and approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $371,408.95 on Oct. 10.

On Oct. 15 the commissioners entered into a right of way agreement with the City of Sidney to vacate a portion of Montrose Avenue.

They approved payment of weekly expenditures totaling $879,980.33 on Oct. 17.
