Bell ringers still needed

SIDNEY – The Salvation Army of Sidney is in need of volunteer bell ringers. With only 2 ½ weeks remaining for this year’s Red Kettle Effort there are 649 open bell ringing hours. Every hour without a bell ringer is an hour without funds for Shelby County.

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles are slated to be out Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Sidney Foodtown and both doors at Walmart; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Kroger; and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays at Anna Market.

The Red Kettle Effort is The Salvation Army’s main fundraiser, which determines what services they can provide to Shelby County.

If you are interested in giving an hour or more of your time to help The Salvation Army by being a bell ringer, sign-up online at redkettlevolunteer.org or by calling Capt. Samantha Lockard at 937-419-0566.
