LIMA — Local girls are invited to participate in Girl Scout Day Camp at Camp Woodhaven in Lima, July 13-17.

The camp is open to girls entering grades 1-6 in the fall.

Girls spend full days — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — at the camp with an optional overnight stay with campfire one evening. The cost is $85 for the entire week plus a $15 fee to become a Girl Scout member.

Activities will depend upon age level and include nature hikes, learning about bugs, science experiments, basic first aid, jewelry making, drawing, painting, archery, geocaching, creating comic books and much more.

Camp Woodhaven is located deep in the heart of Lima. Its woodsy location includes a pond for fishing, a low and high challenge course, hiking trails and more. Camper groups are typically made up of 10 to 16 campers and two or three counselors. Girls are placed in groups by grade level.
