Houston students ready for ‘Roaring Good Time’

HOUSTON — “A Roaring Good Time” is the theme for the Houston High School homecoming, planned for Friday, Jan. 24, and Saturday, Jan. 25.

The king and queen will be crowned at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, during the Homecoming Band Show and Crowning Ceremony, which will be followed by the junior varsity and varsity boys basketball games.

The dance will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, in the Houston High School Commons.

King candidates are Brennan Arnold, son of Jason and Sherry Arnold, of Sidney; Jairon Douglas, son of Tonya and the late James Douglas, of Sidney; and Patrick Meiring, son of Scott and Theresa Meiring, of Sidney.

Queen candidates are Madalynn Brewer, daughter of Travis and Wendy Brewer, of Sidney; Alexandra Freytag, daughter of Andy and Sandi Freytag, of Sidney; and Eve Siegel, daughter of David and Stephanie Siegel, of Sidney.

Junior attendants are Liam McKee, son of Eric and Molly McKee, of Houston, and Katelyn Miller, daughter of Aaron and Nancy Miller, of Sidney.

Sophomore attendants are Colton Spriggs, son of Shane and Shelley Spriggs, of Sidney, and Ava Knouff, daughter of Craig and Teresa Knouff, of Houston.

Freshman attendants are Ethan Davis, son of John and Christine Davis, of Houston, and Addy Frohne, daughter of John and Nancy Frohne, of Sidney.

Crown bearers are second graders Dominic Richardson, son of Jordan and Amanda Richardson, of Sidney, and Ellen Collins, daughter of Brian Collins and Dana Wion, of Houston.
