SIDNEY – Twenty-two members of three local Masonic fraternal organizations were honored recently for their service to the order.
Honor Night was hosted at the Sidney Masonic Temple. Longtime members of Sidney Commandery 46, Pleiades Chapter 298 Order of the Eastern Star and Sidney Masonic Temperance Lodge 73 F&AM were recognized for their time as members and officeholders over many decades.
The Sidney Commandery honored Ross Moore for 65 years, Norris Cromes for 60 years and James Hollman for 50 years.
Two members of the Pleiades Chapter were honored for 70 years of service. They were Dorothy Ford and Annabelle Roth. Barbara Geuy and Mary Jane Stratton were noted for 65 years of service. For 60 years as members, Carolyn Harrod and Jean Wooddell were honored.
The Chapter also noted 50 years of service of Sheryl Regula, Barbara Neville and Rosalie Lunsford.
For Temperance Lodge, Ross A. Moore Jr., was recognized for 70 years of service. Murray Elsass was noted for 65 years with Jacques Beer and Jack Stayton honored for 60 years. Kenneth Fulton was acknowledged for his 50 years of service.
Also, Temperance members Robert Lonsbury, Henry Wurth and Joseph Sturm were noted for 40 years of service. Robert Smith and Matthew Roth Burress were recognized for 25 years of service.
Also honored was Pleisdes Chapter 298 Worthy Patron Stacy Smith for his service to the temple board.
