Library to clean DVDs

SIDNEY — The Amos Memorial Public Library, 230 E. North St., has planned an event to help patrons keep their own collections in good order.

The library is offering to use its equipment to clean CDs and DVDs, cover books or laminate items for a nominal donation. Area residents can take their materials to the library’s art gallery, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and July 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We’d like to give everyone the opportunity to donate to the new building,” said Suzanne Cline, executive director. “We’re hoping this will provide a needed service for the community.” Funds raised from the event will support the building expansion and upgrade project.
