SIDNEY — The Shelby County Democrat Party Central Committee has announced its endorsement of candidates in the upcoming Ohio primary election.

The committee has given its nod to the following:

• For U.S. Senator, Ted Strickland.

• For Shelby County Treasurer, incumbent Linda Meininger.

• For Shelby County Recorder, incumbent Jodi Siegel.

• For Shelby County Engineer, incumbent Robert Geuy.

“All of the endorsed local candidates have proven through their years of public service to our county that all possess superior ability, intelligence and impeccable work ethic in their respective positions to warrant reelection. Mrs. Meininger, Mrs. Siegel and Mr. Geuy have all demonstrated collectively through their years of public service that they treat all Shelby Countians with great respect and provide first-class public service. The committee proudly endorses these fine public servants who wholeheartedly deserve re-election to their respective offices,” said Shelby County Democrat Executive and Central Committee Chairman Thomas Kerrigan II.
