SIDNEY — Due to the closures of many business, including the Sidney Veterans Center, VFW Post 4239 Commander Thomas Kinninger has announced that the deadline for students to apply for the post and auxiliary scholarships in extended to June 15, 2020. Scholarship applications can be mailed to V.FW Post 4239, PO Box 911, Sidney OH 45365. To qualify, applicant must be sponsored by parent, grandparent, great-grand parent who is a member in good standing of the VFW Post 4239.

Applicants must apply for this scholarship in the year of graduation from high school and plan to attend either a 2 or 4-year college, university or a trade school in the following school year — immediately following graduation.

Scholarships may be in the amount of $250 to $500 and will not be renewable.

The form must be completed and returned to the Post Quartermaster NLT June 15, 2020.
