VERSAILLES — Versailles Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is collecting school items to “stuff the bus” to donate to the local school in Versailles.

Versailles staff, family members, and community members can donate items by dropping them off on the center’s front porch by Aug. 24. The skilled nursing facility staff will deliver the items to the Versailles Exempted Village Schools on Aug. 26 for the first day of school on Aug. 31.

“Our community has been very thoughtful and giving during the COVID-19 pandemic and we want to help give back. We know the importance of helping all kids succeed by providing them with items needed to start the year off right, whether in-person or virtually,” said Kristy Earick, senior administrator of Versailles Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. “The pandemic has turned the world upside for some of these kids. By stuffing our facility bus with everything from backpacks to pens and pencils, we hope to make a positive impact on students.”
