Planning Commission OKs requests

SIDNEY — Two requests presented to the city of Sidney’s Planning Commission were approved during its March 21 meeting.

Advanced Composites requested the narrowing of a portion of the east side of Fourth Avenue from the drive entrance for 1062 S. Fourth Ave. north to the CSX Railroad. The company currently has a right-of-way lic3nse for use of a portion of the Fourth Ave area for a parking facility. The vacation of the requested land will transfer ownership of the land to the company so the parking facility is fully on their property, including a 10-foot grass area separation.

The second request was also from Advanced Composites for the replating of eight parcels of land to create one new lot at 1062 S. Fourth Ave. Choice One Engineering made the request on behalf of Advanced Composites.

The purpose of the replat is to allow for the construction of an addition and eliminate internal lot lines as well as utility easements. There are no utilities in the easements crossing the property.

Both recommendations will be sent to Sidney City Council for its review.
