THURSDAY

-8:22 p.m.: domestic violence. A juvenile was arrested on domestic violence charges.

-3:46 p.m.: theft. — without consent. The theft of three space heaters, valued at $60, a pair of Fila tennis shoes, valued at $130, a pair of boots, valued at $100, and tools, valued at $150, were reported stolen in the 300 block of East Court Street.

-10:38 a.m.: found property. A cellphone was found at Walmart on Michigan Street and was turned into the police department.

-4:50 a.m.: found property. A 20-inch, Next bicycle, valued $200, was found in the 300 block of South Stolle Avenue and was turned into the police department.

Crashes

Melody Joines, 18, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 5:08 p.m.

Joines was traveling southbound on South Walnut Avenue when she failed to stop in time, due to the weather, and struck the stopped vehicle in front of her that was driven by Kimberly Lentz, 51, of Piqua.

• No one was cited after a single-vehicle crash on Thursday at 3:01 p.m.

Gerald Ki Edwards, 16, Sidney, was traveling southwest on Fair Road when his vehicle lost its front, passenger’s side tire. The tire rolled onto the property of Auto Tech on Fair Road, and struck and damaged an overhead bay door. Edwards’ vehicle came to a stop partially off the right side of the road.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 3:14 p.m.

Teighlor R. Slavin, 28, of Sidney, was traveling southbound on Fourth Avenue through the intersection, which she said was on a yellow light, but the vehicle driven by Jacob T. Stienecker, 28, of Anna, drove quickly through the turn lane, turning in front of her causing a crash.

Stienecker told police he had a green arrow and was turning when he was struck by Slavin.

Due to conflicting stories and no witnesses, no citation was issued.

• Tracy L. Laub, 39, of Sidney, was cited operation of vehicle at stop after a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday at 2:11 p.m.

Laub was stopped at the stop sign on Williams Drive facing the east when failed to yield and pulled into the path of the northbound vehicle on St. Mary’s Avenue, driven by Rhonda K. Cavender, 49, of Sidney, causing a collision. Laub’s vehicle then spun clockwise and came to a final stop on Williams Street.
