Blood drives to be held Feb. 16 and 20

SIDNEY — Three blood drives will be held in the community the week of Feb. 15.

St. Michael’s Parish will support the cause of “Blood Donor Year” by hosting a community blood drive Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in St. Michael’s Hall, 33 Elm St., Fort Loramie.

The Sidney Masonic Temple Association will support the cause of “Blood Donor Year” by hosting a community blood drive Saturday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 303 E. Poplar St., Sidney.

Donors get free testing for COVID-19 antibodies, the “Team Donor” long-sleeve t-shirt and the new “Fight. Heal. Give” face mask. Appointments must be made at www.DonorTime.com or by calling 937-461-3220.

Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors also are asked to bring their CBC donor ID card.

Donors must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 years old with parental consent, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
