Ian Bowman, left, of Fletcher, and Sidney Airport Manager Mike Chappie, look down at a broken drainage tile that caused a sinkhole to form next to the runway. City of Sidney workers dug down into the runway to find the source of the sinkhole which was caused by water leaking out of the pipe. The construction started on Friday, Feb. 12. Planes were still landing and taking off but the runway was too short for jets.
