Two escape house fire


Firefighters from Maplewood, Fletcher, Miami Township, Lockington and Port Jefferson fight a house fire on State Route 706 near Pemberton around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21. Two men were in the house sleeping but were able to get out. The fire was started by a wood stove in the garage before spreading to the house. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic cantrol.
