Deborah Gaier of Russia wants to be a writer, but her works will not make the popular, thriller lists. She finds here inspiration from the desperately poor by looking at their experiences and religious faith. The Russia native traveled to Honduras a spart of a course entitled “Religion and Anthropology,” offered by the College of Mt. Joseph in Cincinnati. Her experiences will not only shape her writing but her life going forward. She saw the worst examples of poverty and the greatest examples of faith. She was also inspired by the work of Rev. Emil Cook, who leads an orphanage in Honduras.
