CINCINATTI — Long Story Short, a new half-hour series produced by the multi-Emmy winning team at Cincy Stories and hosted by local actor Darnell Pierre Benjamin that aims to tell the stories of the people in the community, is coming to CET and ThinkTV14 in April and ThinkTV16 in May.

“Public Media Connect, CET and ThinkTV are incredibly excited to be sharing the work of this award-winning team of filmmakers with our viewers all around southwestern Ohio,” Mark Lammers, director of content of community affairs and education, said. “Their approach to storytelling, and the stories they choose to tell, provide a platform for our neighbors to be seen with nuance and grace. This perfectly aligns with our own mission of building community through programming.”

Producers Shawn Braley and Chris Ashwell created Long Story Short with the mission of building empathy and understanding across divides throughout Ohio cities, as well as amplify and empower the unique characters that make up the region. The stories featured are from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences.

Each episode will feature thematic ties to wide ranging stories. Every place featured is made up of real, lived experiences by the residents of that particular community. This series will look at uncovering those experiences in humanistic, empathic way.

Long Story Short will premiere Fridays at 11 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. on CET starting on April 2, Fridays at 9 p.m. on ThinkTV14 starting on April 9 and Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. starting May 6 on ThinkTV16.
