VERSAILLES – Versailles Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility in Versailles, Ohio, hosted a special Easter egg hunt today for the students from Versailles Elementary School. Children in kindergarten and first grade were invited to participate in this fun event.

Versailles Rehab residents were also able to join in. Residents social distanced outside and were able to enjoy the fresh air while watching the kids hunt for the eggs. The eggs were filled with candy by members of the Darke County Holstein 4-H Club and residents helped hide them between the facility’s two buildings.

More than 180 kids participated in the Easter egg hunt, which was done in three groups to allow all of the children opportunity to get a head start on their Easter candy supplies.

“It was so nice that the residents were able to spend some time outdoors watching the kids hunt for the eggs,” said Versailles Rehab Senior Administrator Kristy Earick. “Giving back to our community is always important, especially during these times, so it was very nice to see both the residents and children enjoy this great event!”
