MMH continues work on campaign, plans for future

SIDNEY — The Mercy Mission House continues to work on their capital campaign and the plans for the future of the emergency shelter. During the month of March, additional funds were raised and MMH is now at 75% of their capital campaign goal.

In addition to further donations to the capital campaign, a generous anonymous donor provided funds to purchase two shuttle buses. These shuttle buses will be used to transport clients to breakfast and lunch at the future new location of the Alpha Community Center, to appointments and other needs. The plans include shuttle stops on the east side of town, the west side of town and downtown. The shuttle routes will continue to be assessed and adapted as necessary.

Emily Neu, development chair, said “The Mercy Mission House would like to thank the anonymous donor for their generosity and for allowing transportation to the new location to be a reality. The new location will allow our clients to access more services in one location. Providing transportation is key to making the new location a success.”
