ODOT seeking public comments

SIDNEY – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding two projects.

The prjects are:

• Sidney Spruce Avenue Bridge Replacement, PID 114201 – The city of Sidney proposes to replace the Spruce Avenue Bridge over the CSX Railroad. The project is necessary to address the deteriorated condition and design deficiencies of the existing bridge. The existing bridge has been determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. An online presentation is available at the link.

• George Rogers Clark Park Lower Bridge Replacement, PID 111870 – At the request of the Clark County Park District, ODOT proposes to replace the existing stone-faced metal arch bridge in George Rogers Clark Park in Bethel Township carrying a park drive over an unnamed tributary of the Mad River. The Park District has requested the replacement to allow for bus and snowplow access to the parking lot north of the bridge location.

Comments may be submitted by contacting the individual below. Issues the public may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Comments should be submitted by Friday, July 30, 2021.
