SIDNEY — The Ty Austin Martin Memorial car/Motorcycle Show will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. Judging will take place at 3 p.m. There is an entry fee of $10 per vehicle.

Martin was a lifelong member of Sidney First United Methodist Church, where he was active in he Youth Group and the Youth Band as a drummer. He had a passion for work in the mission field and loved spending time at the orphanages in Mexico. It was during a mission trip in 2016 that he fell and passed away.

The son of Tim and Alison Martin, he also worked with the JOY Church at the Alpha Center.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Ty Martin Servant’s Fund at Hardin United Methodist Church.
