Alpha Psi plans garage sale

SIDNEY — The members of the Alpha Psi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International are holding a garage sale at the Ituis Club Building located at 2329 Wapakoneta Avenue, Sidney, on Friday, April 29th from 9-6 and Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. All proceeds from this sale will be donated to local charities.

The Alpha Psi members believe that money raised from its philanthropic projects with the support of the local community should remain in the community.

Alpha Psi Chapter was chartered in 1950. For the last 72 years, our members have participated in yearly philanthropic projects, hosted educational programs, and various social activities. For 42 years the Chapter sponsored the Paging Barn at the Shelby County Fair. Some of the local Charities that the Chapter supports include Hospice, New Choices, Alpha Community Center, Salvation Army, and Fish. The International organization that the Chapter supports are St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and College Scholarship and Grants through the ESA Foundation.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha is an international service and leadership organization founded in 1929. A premier leadership and service organization with nearly 1,000 members The members of ESA help so many people by donating volunteer hours and money annually to such organizations as St, Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Hope for Heroes (supporting our troops, veterans, and their families), Easter Seals, and College Scholarship and Grants through the ESA Foundation.

The Mission Statement for ESA and Alpha Psi is “Good Friends, Good Works, and Good Times….We create activities and support for causes that let us surround ourselves with welcoming positive people who enjoy making a difference and having fun together.”
