Fairlawn Board of Education

SIDNEY — Fairlawn Local School Board of Education will hold an emergency board meeting Saturday, April 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the superintendent’s office. They will meet in executive session to consider the appointment, employment or compensation of an employee.

Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY — The city of Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Monday, April 18, at 4 p.m. in city council chambers. The board will hear two requests during the meeting. Tricia Allen is requesting a conditional use permit for a home occupation, gift baskets, at 112 W. Ruth St. choice One Engineer, on behalf of Trupointe Cooperative, is requesting approval of expansion of an existing non-conforming use to construct an unpaved vehicular use facilities.

Sidney Board of Education

SIDNEY — Sidney City Schools Board of Education will meet Monday, April 18, at 6 p.m. in the board of education office. The board is expected to approve a resolution placing a tax levy on the August ballot, approve a contract with Edmentum for Plato courseware, act on resignations, hiring personal for this school year and the 2016-17 school year and approve substitute contracts.

Sidney Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney Planning Commission will meet Monday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. in city council chambers. The commission will hear two requests during the meeting. The Ricsten Family and Purvis Family are requesting the rezoning of portions of six parcels located north of Russell Road. Bensar Properties is requesting a replat of two lots on the corner of Lester Avenue and Howard Street.

Jackson Center Board of Education

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Local School District Board of Education will meet Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the school. The board is expected to approve a donation from Brokers Real Estate, accept a memorandum of understanding between the district and Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities, accept the athletic training service agreement with Wilson Health Sports Medicine and approve the graduates for the Class of 2016. The board will also meet in executive session to consider the employment of public employees.

Hardin-Houston Board of Education

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education will meet Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in the school’s media center. They will approve monthly financial reports and expenditures for March 2016, accept donation, address personnel issues, and approve summer school and summer physical education dates.

Fort Loramie Board of Education

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Board of Education will meet in regular session, Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in the media center.

The board will consider appropriation adjustments, donations, an athletic training services agreement, new and revised board policies, employment business, early graduation for one student, possible tuition students and an FFA trip.

Traffic Safety Network

SIDNEY — The Governor’s Community Traffic Safety Network of Shelby County will meet Tuesday, April 19, at 8:30 a.m. at the Sidney Fire Department, 222 W. Poplar St., Sidney.

Reports on traffic safety, fire, Ohio Highway Patrol traffic and Shelby County traffic stats will be presented. Street and highway construction projects for the city of Sidney, Shelby County and Ohio Department of Transportation will be reviewed. Members will discuss alternative programs in place of the mock crash.

Anna Village Council

ANNA — The Anna Village Council will hold a special council meeting on April 19, 2016, at 6 p.m. in council chambers at 209 W. Main St., Anna, to review applications for the fiscal officer position.

Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health

SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health will meet in regular session, Wednesday, April 20, at 7 p.m. in the Health Department Conference Room.

The board will have a public hearing and give second reading to a resolution concerning temporary park and camp program fees. It will also consider a private water system variance request for a residence in Houston, financial reports and the monthly public health nursing report. Election of officers is also on the agenda.

Sidney Tree Board

SIDNEY — The city of Sidney Tree Board will meet Thursday, April 21, at 4:30 p.m. in council chambers. The board will discuss the Tree City USA program in West Carrollton on April 22 and the Arbor Day celebration at Sidney Middle School on April 29 at 9 a.m. The board will also discuss the cyclical pruning map and Tree Commission Academy.
