Austin Owens, 16, of Sidney, throws out the first pitch at the Sidney vs Springfield JV baseball game on Wednesday, May 11 afternoon in Sidney. Austin was diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy at the age of seven. Austin is the son of Scott and Trish Owens, of Sidney. Shortly after Austin was born his weight fell to 2-3 pounds. Because of his small size he acquired the nickname “Biggins” which later became the name of his father’s business.
