Community invited to dream, believe and achieve at 2022 Community Days

JACKSON CENTER — Two years out of the pandemic, Greg Woolley is excited for the Jackson Center community to experience a more normal Community Days.

“It kind of feels a little bit like a throwback of keeping the tradition and with a lot of things that have changed so much, it’s nice to have something that people enjoy, that family can do, and still kind of reminisce about how things were when they were kids,” Woolley, president of the Jackson Center Growth Association, said.

Jackson Center Community Days has been a staple part of the Jackson Center community for over 40 years, and this years’ theme, “Dream. Believe. Achieve!” falls in line with the return to form for Community Days and for a more normal festival season after two years of uncertainty. While Woolley said that it can be hard to come up with themes year to year, coming up with this years’ theme was easier as a means of looking toward the upside of things.

“We wanted to try and give that feeling that there’s optimism out there and that America and especially Jackson Center is a great place for opportunity. If you can dream it, and you can believe it, you can achieve it,” Woolley said.

Community Days will kick off Thursday, June 2, with food, drink and treats aplenty and includes the Queen and Little Miss Jackson Center Contest, and runs through Sunday, June 5. Attendees will be able to enjoy food from the Jackson Center Fire Department Bratwurst Stand, Sno-Cones and donuts, and beer sales. In addition to this, Moeller Brew Barn has come up with a new brew of beer, “JC Light” that will come in a special Jackson Center-themed can for Community Days.

“We are excited to work with them and offer this to help celebrate the weekend,” Woolley said.
