SIDNEY — The Sidney City School District Board of Education will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at the board office.

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet for a special meeting on Monday, May 2, at 6:15 p.m. in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

The purpose of the meeting is to adopt a resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Council will then hold a workshop session meeting immediately following to begin at 6:30 p.m.

There will be a presentation on the the city’s website and social media statistics. Further discussions will be held on the liquor license transfer to Gallery 2 Ten and on the annual liquor permit renewals. Discussions will also be on grass and noxious weeds and parking amendment requests.

In addition they will review the upcoming Zoning Board/Planning Commission Agenda for Monday, May 16, 2016, and a review of the prospective City Council Agenda items for the next 30 days. The council will also hold an executive session to consider the appointment of a public official, the purchase of property for public purposes and pending or imminent court action.
