Railroad crossing work planned

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Engineer’s Office has been notified by personnel from CSX Railroad of work planned for several Shelby County railroad crossings in the next few weeks.

Beginning Tuesday, May 3, CSX Railroad will be closing the railroad crossings on the following roads:

• Logan-Shelby Road between state Route 706 and Dingman-Slagle Road.

• Main Street in Pemberton, back street by the grain elevator, and not the Tawawa-Maplewood Road crossing.

• Johnston-Slagle Road between state Route 706 and Dingman-Slagle Road.

Each of the closures will start Tuesday, May 3, at 8 a.m. and will take approximately three days to complete the work.

Additional closures on Shelby County roads will follow when the roads are open.
