Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — Sidney City Council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

Council will consider a resolution to appoint Darryl Thurber to fill the vacancy on the 2nd Ward council seat. Thurber will be sworn in after passage of the resolution.

Council also will witness a presentation of the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction; will consider adoption of an ordinance to eliminate no-parking zones on part of Michigan Street; and will consider resolutions to appoint John Schmitt to the Civil Service Commission and to authorize the city manager to enter a collective bargaining agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Sergeants.

Council will discuss the Downtown Revitalization Task Force recommendation, I&I program noncompliance issues, and the Harmon Park drainage issue.

In an executive session, council will discuss preparing for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees and consider the purchase of property for public purposes.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the village offices.

Council will consider an ordinance adjusting 2015 annual appropriations and will discuss the power supply portfolio. In an executive session, council will discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.

New Knoxville Board of Education

NEW KNOXVILLE – The New Knoxville Board of Education will meet Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m. in the media center at the school.

The resignations of two coaches and the employment of four coaches/teacher is on the agenda. The board is also expected to accept a donation from Crown Equipment Corp., approve the lunch and milk prices and school fees for the 2015-16 school year, and approve Nickle’s Bakery and Reinhard Dairy as suppliers for the district.
