SIDNEY — The Wilson Health Foundation elected officers for 2016-2018 and installed five new trustees during its annual and quarterly meeting recently.
Vance Stewart will serve as president; Tony Arnold, vice chairman; Tom Middleton, secretary/treasurer; and Tonya Thieman, immediate past chairwoman. Barri Grandey, Mickey Hamer, Tom Martin, Brandon Simon and Mike Watkins joined the board.
Jerry Doerger, Phyllis Seving, Rose Swiger and Dave Wolters left the board.
Grandey, of Sidney, a member of the Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, was the kindergarten teacher for Hardin-Houston Local Schools for 37 years and is now retired. Grandey holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Morehead State University and a Master of Elementary Education from the University of Dayton.
Hamer, of Troy, is the facility leader of DSM operations at Cargill and holds a degree in environmental resources management from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to his joining Cargill, Hamer’s previous nonprofit involvement was with United Way at Heinz and the Golden State Foods Foundation.
Martin owns Sidney Body and Troy CARSTAR. A graduate of Sidney High School and Upper Valley JVS, he is very involved with the CARSTAR organization, serving on several boards and committees.
Simon, of Sidney, is the general manager of aftermarket sales and field support at Crown Equipment Corp. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo in finance and sales and is currently working to attain his Master of Business Administration in executive leadership from Ohio University.
Watkins, of Anna, is treasurer of Sidney City Schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from the Ohio State University.
