Donations sought for veterans

FORT LORAMIE — The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Dayton is in need of items for the veterans it serves.

The veterans are in need of new clothing, such as spring jackets, athletic shorts, tennis shows, blue jeans, sweat tops and bottoms, underwear/T-shirts/socks and shower shoes; personal hygiene items such as deodorant, 3 in 1 body wash/shampoo/conditioner, denture adhesivce, denture cleaner, shaving cream, toothbrush and paste, lip balm, brush/combs and face/body lotion; and miscellaneous items such as big print word search, arts and crafts supplies, $20 gas cards for stranded veterans, chess/checkers/dominos sets and Walmart gift cards for longterm care veteran residents.

Items can be dropped off at the Fort Loramie Fire Department Office on Tuesday, June 21, and Thursday, June 23, from 4 to 5 p.m.
