FRIDAY

-2:57 a.m.: burglary. Colette Warfield, 30, 500 Vandemark Road, Apt. 52, reported a burglary at her home that included the theft of cash and a Coach wallet.

THURSDAY

-11:51 p.m.: contempt. Chadwick Kirkland, 28, of Piqua, was arrested on an outstanding warrant through the Sidney Municipal Court.

-10:37 p.m.: burglary. Deanna Jones, 26, 350 W. Parkwood St., reported the front door to the residence was damaged.

-8:04 p.m.: theft. Mika River, 50, 114 Freedom Court, reported the theft of her purse and all its contents including a driver’s license, credit cards and cash.

-7:46 a.m.: found property. A silver and purple Mongoose bicycle was found at 1556 Michigan St.

WEDNESDAY

-10:06 p.m.: theft. Jessica Ludwig, 21, 1135 Hilltop Ave., Apt. C, reported a theft of her wallet from her vehicle.

-2:29 p.m.: criminal damaging. Ibrahima Kane, 26, 971 Buckeye Ave., reported someone broke the windshield out of his vehicle.

MONDAY

-4:16 a.m.: assault. Justin Brooks, 25, 12471 State Route 274, Anna, reported he was assaulted at the Waffle House in Sidney.

Accidents

Wanda Whitacre, 63, 1882 Shawnee Drive, was cited for failure to control after an accident on Thursday at 7:32 p.m.

The accident occurred on Shawnee Drive when Whitacre attempted to park in front of a car that was already parked on the street. As she pulled into the space, she struck the left front corner of the other vehicle.

The owner of the other vehicle was Kathy White, 1870 Shawnee Drive.

• Michael Gowins, 40, 8263 Port Haven Drive, was cited for assured clear distance after an accident on Tuesday at 11:39 a.m.

Gowins was sitting in traffic waiting for the traffic signal to change at the intersection of Vandemark and Michigan Street. He thought it had changed, so he pulled forward, striking the back of another vehicle, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the other vehicle was Charles Martin, 32, of Piqua.

• Janice Ward, 77, 9030 Tawawa-Maplewood Road, Maplewood, was cited for improper lane change after an accident on Thursday at 11:23 a.m.

Ward was traveling eastbound on Russell Road in the 1200 block when she started to change lanes from the right lane to the left lane and struck another vehicle in the passenger side. Ward stated the other vehicle was in her blind spot and she didn’t see it.

The driver of the other vehicle was Erica Brooks, 24, 330 E. Hoewisher Road.

• Christopher Gordon, 22, 551 Culvert St., was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital with possible injuries after an accident on Saturday, July, 25, at 1:41 p.m.

Gordon was traveling westbound on West Court Street when he cut through the parking lot at 125 W. Court St., and proceeded southbound on South West Avenue. Gordon lost control and struck a car parked on South West Avenue facing northbound in front of 212 S. West Ave.

The owner of the other vehicle was Jeffery McCarty, 212 S. West Ave.

FRIDAY

-1:56 to 9:20 a.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

THURSDAY

-11:04 to 11:49 p.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

-10:25 p.m.: Crews responded to the 300 block of North Miami Avenue to investigate smoke. An unattended campfire was extinguished.

-2:48 to 9:30 p.m.: Medics responded to three calls.
