Recent common pleas indictments

SIDNEY — The following people were indicted by the Shelby County grand jury on Thursday:

• Lashawn M. Hazel, 45, of Sidney, was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, and one count of possessing criminal tools, both felonies of the fifth-degree. Hazel was arrested on June 22, when the Sidney Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at her Wapakoneta Avenue residence and recovered heroin, paraphernalia and syringes.

• Robert Barga, 40, of Sidney, was indicted on two counts of forgery, and one count of tampering with an odometer, all felonies of the fifth-degree. He is accused of tampering with an odometer on a 2000 Honda Passport, forging signatures on a bill of sale, and presented a fraudulent title.

• Joshua Brunswick, 30, of Fort Loramie, was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, and one count of possessing criminal tools, both felonies of the fifth-degree. He is accused of possessing fentanyl, capsules, and syringes.

• Gary Drew Jr., 28, of Sidney, was indicted on one count of assault, a felony of the fourth-degree, one count of operating a vehicle under the influence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor. He is accused of driving while intoxicated, running from officers as they tried to arrest him, and causing serious physical harm to a Sidney police officer.

• Justin Dwyer, 33, of Sidney, was indicted on three counts of illegal conveyance of prohibited items on the grounds of a detention facility, a felony of the third-degree, and one count of breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth-degree. He is accused of conveying fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin into the Shelby County Jail, and trespassing into the business of Cooper, Adel and Associates, on Wapakoneta Avenue in order to commit a theft offense.

• Cass Hensley III, 39, at large, was indicted on one count of failure to provide change of address, a felony of the fourth-degree. He is accused of not notifying the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office of a change of address, having previously been convicted of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

• James Hicks, 44, of Piqua, was indicted on two counts of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth-degree. He is accused of possessing Oxycodone and Hydrocodone.

• Mark Landon-Hass, 23, of Sidney, was indicted on one count of theft, a felony of the fifth-degree. He is accused of stealing a debit card from an elderly person.

• Jacob Martin, 32, of Sidney, was indicted on three counts of possession of drugs, and one count of criminal tools, all felonies of the fifth-degree. He is accused of possessing heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine, and also a syringe, spoon, and cotton with drug residue on them.

• Stacy Reynolds, 44, of Sidney, was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, and one count of possessing criminal tools, both felonies of the fifth-degree. She is accused of possessing fentanyl, a baggy and gel capsules.

• Jonathan Sanders, 27, of Sidney, was indicted on one count of felonious assault, a felony of the second degree. He is accused of breaking someone’s leg with a piece of rebar fashioned as a weapon.

• Robert Tootle Jr., 26, of Dayton, was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property, a felony of the fourth-degree, and one count of stopping after nonpublic road accident, a first-degree misdemeanor. He is accused of receiving a motor vehicle he knew to be stolen, and damaged two parked cars in the Sidney Walmart parking lot.

• Earnest Weese, 24, at large, was indicted on one count of failure to provide change of address, a felony of the fourth-degree. He is accused of failing to notify the Shelby County Sheriff’s’s Office of a change address, after having previously been adjudicated a delinquent child for conviction of gross sexual imposition and failure to provide change of address two other times.
