Maddison Lessing, 15, of Fort Loramie, member of Merry Mod Makers, daughter of Matt and Molly Lessing, won outstanding of the day and state fair qualifier in Let’s Bake Quick Breads at the Shelby County Fair.

The Houston High School cheerleading team placed third in the game division at the Shelby County Fair cheer and dance competition Sunday, July 24.

Brenna Lowe, 10, of Jackson Center, member of Progressive Livestock, daughter of Loretta Schmiesing and Aaron Lowe, won best of four class breeds at the Shelby County Fair.

William G. Curl, 11, of Houston, member of Houston Livestock, son of Michael and Patricia Curl, won grand champion junior dairy Guernsey at the Shelby County Fair.
