SIDNEY — Sock & Buskin Players will present a youth production of “Disney’s The Jungle Book,” Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Historic Sidney Theatre, 120 W. Poplar St.
Tickets cost $5 and will be available at the door.

Based on the screenplay by Larry Clemmons and the novel, “The Jungle Book,” by Rudyard Kipling, the plot concerns Disney’s beloved “man cub,” who marches his way through the jungle as he learns what it means to be human.
In the cast are Ainsley Manger as Bagheera, Adrian Johnson as Baloo, Anika Arcikauskas as the coconut tree/Shanti, Carly Rogers and Shelbie Miller as Col. Hathi, Elizabeth Shaw as Kaa, Anthony Kellner as King Louie, Andrew McLain as Mowgli, Mariana Kellner as Old Monkey, Jenna Allen as Shere Khan, Ben Arcikauskas as the baby elephant and Brooklyn Koester and Darcy Maxson as the vultures.
In the Kaa chorus are Ava Bertke, Logan Shaw, Isabel Rice and Loya Chambers. The elephant chorus comprises Ava Bertke, Kara Kellner, Logan Shaw, Isabel Rice and Mya McGill. The monkey chorus members are Kara Kellner, Mya McGill, Marcus Allen and Loralei Chambers. The brides are Summer Sprowl, McKinlee Broaddrick, Kaylee Wheeler and Savanah Koester. The bumble bees are Ben Arcikauskas, Reese Jones and Candyce Williams.
