SIDNEY — The Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) has opened nominations for its Top Dog calendar fundraising project.

Area dog owners can nominate their dogs for inclusion in the Top Dog 2016 calendar by giving a $5 donation to SCARF. Nominations can be made online at hits1055.com by posting photos of the dogs and making the donations through Aug. 23.

Photos will then be posted for contributions and votes. Fans of each dog can then pay $1 per vote. Dogs raising the most money will have be professionally photographed and have their photos included in the calendar. The dog whose photo raises the most money will be featured on the calendar’s cover. Online voting will be open from Aug. 31 through Sept. 13.
