GREENVILLE — Assistant Majority Leader of the Ohio House of Representatives Jim Buchy, R-Greenville, has announced the names of the three captains who will serve on the leadership team of Western Ohio Values Voters for Trump-Pence.

The Interstate 75 counties have been split into three sections: northern region, encompassing Lucas to Hancock counties; central region, encompassing Allen to Montgomery; and southern region, encompassing Warren, Butler and Hamilton counties.

State Rep. Rob McColley, R-Napolean, will serve as captain for the northern region; State Sen. Keith Faber, R-Celina, will lead the central region; and State Rep. Ron Maag, R-Lebanon, was tapped to serve as captain for the southern region. Each of these elected officials bring a dedication to values voters, political foresight, campaign experience and a knowledge of their respective geographical regions to the team.

“We are fortunate to have such strong leaders along the I-75 corridor,” Buchy said. “I have worked with each of these captains in both a professional and personal setting, and I couldn’t ask for better insight or support. This corridor is a critical region for Ohio, and accounts for almost 25 percent of voter turnout in the state. We must work to ensure that the voters are equipped with the knowledge to make a sound, educated vote come November.”

Buchy established the Western Ohio Values Voters for Trump-Pence this fall to target the counties that I-75 runs through. This region of the state totals 12 percent of Ohio’s 88 counties and is an important sector that both presidential campaigns are focused on.
