ANNA — Everyone is invited to attend the Fall Harvest Fest in the Anna Park on Oct. 9.

The festival will feature craft and vendor booths, a car show, Jungle Island Petting Zoo, and a Family Fun Food Can Walk.

The event will run from 1-5 p.m.

Organizers are still looking for more vendors. You can sign up at the Anna Village Office or email [email protected]. There is a $10 fee for a 10-by-10 space.

It is $5 per vehicle to be in the car show, and the money goes to the local food bank. It will cost a small amount of money to buy food to feed the animals at the petting zoo. The petting zoo is being sponsored by Taco Bell.

Beginning at 4 p.m. there will be a food can walk sponsored by the Anna Branch Library that will benefit the local food bank. This food drive will be an event open to the community and an elementary class challenge to see which class can bring in the most cans of food.

Finally, at 3 p.m. there will be a dedication ceremony of the Born Learning Trail, that was donated to the park from the United Way POWER of Shelby County. The trail will be installed in September by the Anna FFA. This trail will then be added to the United Way World Wide site so that people can visit when passing through the area.
