SIDNEY — The Sidney Daily News 31st annual Harvest-Holiday Cookbook contest will be Oct. 24.

Readers may submit up to three recipes in each of six categories: main dishes, salads and sides, desserts, holiday traditions, appetizers and snacks, and slow-cooker creations.

Four finalists in each category will prepare their dishes for judging. Category winners will get $50 cash prizes. A best-of-the-best winner will get an additional grand prize of $200.

All recipes must be typed, include the names of the dishes, the categories they’re submitted in, complete lists of ingredients and instructions, and the names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of the submitters.

Emailed recipes are preferred at [email protected]. Hard copies can be mailed or delivered to 1451 N. Vandemark Road, Sidney. Recipes will be accepted until 5 p.m., Sept. 25.
