An unusual fire item appeared yesterday. A family in Franklin township, driving to town in a spring wagon, smelled smoke soon after passing the saw mill of Thomas Fitz on the outskirts of town. They stopped and removed the robes at which time the dress of one of the ladies was found blazing. The fire was soon put out. It is supposed a spark came from the the saw mill engine, but how it got under the lap-robe is a mystery.
