Local student performs with UF’s Marching Oiler Brass

FINDLAY — Members of the University of Findlay’s Marching Oiler Brass recently performed in a concert on Oct. 30.

Local students include:

Sara Bornhorst, of Fort Loramie

Titled “Songs of the Stadium,” the band played songs from halftime and pregame shows. Songs included Wild West-themed selections such as “How the West was Won” and “Viva La Vida.” Homecoming game tunes included “Carry on My Wayward Son” and “Hang on Sloopy”; and 1980’s hits “Africa,” “Jump” and “Livin’ on a Prayer.” The band is directed by Richard Napierala.

The University of Findlay is one of the largest private colleges in Northwest Ohio.
