Holiday Remembrance Program planned

PIQUA — Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home will host its annual Holiday Remembrance Program on Saturday, Nov. 19, beginning at 2 p.m.

The funeral home is extending an invitation to all those in the Piqua and surrounding area who have lost loved ones this year. The program will include special music, memorial readings and a lighting of candles in remembrance of those who have passed on. The program will conclude with social time and light refreshments. This special event will be hosted at the funeral home, 333 W. High St., Piqua. Kelly Larger, coordinator of the funeral home’s Follow Through Services, will be the facilitator. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to register by calling 937-773-3161.

“A candle is the symbol of light and is universal in representing hope,” said Larger.

The holidays can be a particularly difficult time to cope with the loss of a loved one, she said. It is Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home’s hope that our Holiday Remembrance Program will provide a comforting time in which families can come together to acknowledge their grief and to find peace during this challenging season.
