SIDNEY — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke County sponsored an agency picnic at Earl’s Island, Lake Loramie State Park, on Aug. 13.
More than 40 people from Shelby and Darke counties attended the picnic. The children enjoyed an inflatable bounce house and the Red Cross presented a pillowcase project.
The pillowcase project is a way to talk to the children about how to handle a disaster such as fire or flooding and what skills and items would be necessary to have if something of this nature were to happen.
Bigs and Littles also went on a scavenger hunt and enjoyed a picnic lunch and socializing.
